Learning Communities

A Learning Community is a team of teachers that collaborate to discuss, analyze, and demonstrate their teaching practices and student learning results. By participating in a Learning Community, teachers focus on school improvement goals and learn how to implement them in their classrooms through effective, research-based strategies. This program offers training and continual support to teachers through online course work, interactive Learning Community participation, and helpful feedback.

For the past decade, Dr. Rick DuFour and other well known and respected educators have researched the effectiveness of Learning Communities in school and teacher improvement. Our courses utilize Learning Communities to support the online learning and ensure effective teaching.

All teachers will participate in an online Virtual Learning Community (VLC) with other teachers from around the world. You will also receive online support from a Power-Ed Learning Coach.
